Terms of service

Effective 1 July 2026 · Conformery

These terms govern your use of Conformery. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. If you're using Conformery on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to agree on its behalf.

What Conformery is, and is not

Conformery is a compliance information tool: it maps regulations to your product type and links every fact to an official source. It is not legal advice, not a testing laboratory, and not a notified or approved body. You remain responsible for the actual compliance of your product; for high-risk products or binding interpretation, work with qualified counsel, an accredited lab, or a notified body.

Accounts

You need an account to save products, checklists and vault documents. You must be at least 18, or using Conformery on behalf of a business you're authorised to bind. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for activity under your account.

Plans and billing

The Free plan and Pro plan are described on the pricing page, which forms part of these terms. Pro is billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan and its limits. We may change prices for future billing periods; we'll give notice before a change affects an existing subscription.

Acceptable use

Don't use Conformery for anything unlawful, don't try to circumvent its security or rate limits, and don't scrape or resell the regulation dataset itself. Don't rely on generated output as a substitute for the verification, testing or certification your product actually needs. Don't upload documents that infringe someone else's rights or that you don't have permission to store.

Your content

You own the product information and documents you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to store them and display them back to you to run the service. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the rights to any document you upload. We may remove content that breaches the acceptable use section above.

Service availability

We aim to keep Conformery available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, and features that depend on third parties (such as Stripe billing) depend on those providers being available too.

Disclaimer

Content on Conformery is provided for information purposes and is not legal advice. We do not guarantee that the regulations we surface are complete for your product, or that following our output makes your product compliant. Always verify against the official source we cite, and consult a notified body or independent counsel where the stakes warrant it.

Limitation of liability

Conformery is provided on an as-is, as-available basis, without warranties beyond those that can't be excluded by law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Termination

You can stop using Conformery and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. On termination your access ends; your data is handled as described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell account holders by email.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions: email hello@conformery.com.
