UKCA

UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is Great Britain's own product marking, introduced after Brexit as the domestic equivalent of CE marking for goods sold in England, Scotland and Wales. It covers the same broad product areas as CE (electrical, radio, toys, machinery and more) and follows a similar self-assessment or approved-body conformity process.

Why it matters

The UK currently continues to recognise CE marking for most goods alongside UKCA, so many businesses can choose either route. That recognition is government policy rather than a permanent legal guarantee, so sellers into Great Britain should track which route their product area still allows.
