SDoC (Supplier's Declaration of Conformity)
A Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) is the US self-certification route for electronic products that do not intentionally transmit radio signals: a US-based responsible party tests the product against FCC emission limits and declares compliance without filing anything with the FCC.
Why it matters
SDoC is usually cheaper and faster than full FCC certification, but it only covers unintentional radiators. Adding a radio, such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, to a product moves it into the certification regime instead, which is a common surprise for hardware teams adding connectivity late.
