Module A (self-assessment)
Module A, internal production control, is the lightest EU conformity assessment procedure: the manufacturer designs, tests and declares the product compliant entirely on their own responsibility, with no external body involved at any stage.
Why it matters
Many everyday products, including most mains electrical equipment, only ever require Module A, which means the compliance cost is mainly your own testing time rather than third-party certification fees.
