CPC (Children's Product Certificate)

A Children's Product Certificate (CPC) is the written certificate a US manufacturer or importer must issue for a children's product, based on third-party test results, certifying it meets every children's product safety rule that applies.

Why it matters

The CPC must be issued by the US manufacturer or importer, not by an overseas factory, so US-based businesses importing children's products remain personally responsible for it even when testing and paperwork are handled abroad.
